Steep's Next DLC Adds Sleds, Banana Costume, And More
The Winterfest expansion arrives in May.
Ubisoft today announced the next downloadable content for its extreme sports game Steep. Titled "Winterfest," the expansion lets players take part in the "craziest in-game snow sports festival ever organized." A big part of the expansion is the arrival of a new mode of traversal: a Winter Sled.
There are also 21 "wacky" new challenges to attempt, 10 more costumes to collect (banana and dinosaur suits are shown in the video), more customization items, and new bosses. All of the content is set in the Alps, not the Alaska region that was introduced earlier this year as DLC.
Winterfest launches on May 3 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It's included with Steep's $20 season pass and $80 gold edition (which contains the season pass) or it can be purchased by itself for $12.
Steep launched in December 2016. The game surpassed Ubisoft's sales expectations, though the publisher never disclosed what it was modeling for the game.
