Strategy First has announced the release of the latest upgrade for its realistic tank simulation, Steel Beasts. The version 1.19 patch adds more than a dozen new features to the game, including improved gunnery modeling for the M1A1 tank, better control over infantry, and enhanced artificial intelligence. The patch also adds new missions to the game.

In Steel Beasts, players assume the role of a commander or a gunner aboard one of two powerful battle tanks: the US M1A1 Abrams or the German Leopard 2A4. A complete multiplayer mode lets players undertake missions together or compete head-to-head against other players over a network.

Steel Beasts was developed by eSim Games, and it was released in September 2000. For more information, read our full review of the game and visit the official eSim Games Web site.
