A new week means one thing for PC gamers: new Steam sales. All told, over 600 games and expansions are on sale this week over on Steam, which means there's a high likelihood you've got your eye on at least one of them. Let's run down the best games available for the best prices. The sale ends April 23, so lock in your purchases by then.

For starters, if you haven't purchased Darkest Dungeon yet, you might consider doing so now that it's on sale for $8. According to our 9/10 Darkest Dungeon review, "In some ways Darkest Dungeon plays a lot like poker: countless parts are random on their own, but when guided by the skillful handle of a master, are anything but."

Dying Light also gets a discount, down to $18. It features post-apocalyptic parkour, which is probably all you need to know to decide whether it's your kind of game. Its expansion, Dying Light: The Following, is on sale for $8. And if you want a similar level of darkness delivered through a music-rhythm game, you should grab Thumper, also for $8.

Salt and Sanctuary, which has been called a "side-scrolling Dark Souls," is on sale for $7. The Surge is a more straightforward Dark Souls-inspired game, and it's on sale for $16. But our Surge review was mostly positive, saying, "it bucks the trend towards creative bankruptcy, adopting some fresh ideas and layering those together with aesthetics, tone, and play to create an inspired adventure."

Also on sale is Besiege, a game that lets you build medieval siege engines and "lay waste to immense fortresses and peaceful hamlets." Surely, someone in those hamlets had it coming. You can pick up Besiege for $7. And if you're into racing games, you can pick up Dirt Rally for $12 or Dirt 4 for $18.

Seeing as roughly 600 more games are on sale on Steam right now, this only scratches the surface. Head over to Steam's sale page to see if we overlooked any games you've had on your radar.
