Steam Autumn Sale 2013 starts now

Ready to get lots of games for relatively little money?

If you're a PC (or Mac) gamer and you're ready to get a jump on your holiday shopping, the Steam Autumn Sale starts today.

Running through December 3, there are the usual slate of deals:

  • General sales in place until the end of the promotion
  • Daily Deals that last for 1-2 days
  • Flash Sales that change every 8 hours

Pro-tip: if you want to make sure you're alerted as soon as a game you're waiting for goes on sale, just add it to your wishlist to get an emailed reminder.

Also, while some of the ongoing sales might be tempting, we'd recommend holding off on any purchases until the game comes up on one of the Daily Deals or Flash Sales to ensure you get the biggest discount. A few of the current notable sales:

  • Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for $7.49 (75% off)
  • Sleeping Dogs for $4.99 (80% off)
  • The Walking Dead for $6.24 (74% off)

What are you waiting to pick up? Let us know in the comments!

Gotta love Steam Dev's

*If you don't get it...you should uninstall Steam*

I'll avoid this, most of these games will be even cheaper a couple of weeks from now when the Christmas Sale arrives.

I already have tons of games waiting to be played from the summer sale. I can't resist good deals :(

Gotta love valve though, this puts $60 for knack or ryse into perspective when I could buy 15 games on steam now for the same price.

Sleeping Dogs for $5 is such an amazing steal. I got 1250 GS for that game, loved it so much.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> the advantage here is really cheap games. You have to take time to try to find a buyer. Money can come back, but time? Come on man, it's too fucking cheap to just complain. It's all about decisions.

There is no point in selling a Game you bought for $7.49.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Steam works perfectly well Offline even if you don't connect to the internet. It has a back up feature that lets us packup and unpack our games. We can burn it to DVDs or save it on external hard drives when we don't need them. I'm pretty sure that's ownership right there.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> and for $7.49, we can mod it and extend our playing time far beyond the purchase value. New stories, new graphics, new gameplay, new game modes and all will be community made and free. I see no better value than that.

I feel like a hypocrite for hating Steam before and now loving it after actually trying the service. Saved me so much money. Some great PC exclusives on there

@PosiTVEMinD355 It's ok buddy. All PC Gamers hated Steam when it came out 10 years ago. But back then we hated it because it was glitchy as shit and we were still in the phase where we didn't like being forced into a DRM program. Now we just hate them because they take our wallets.

<< LINK REMOVED >> Yea because it's impossible to get a brand new game for less than full price - anywhere - other than a few things like right now Amazon is selling Xbone launch titles for 25% off.

<< LINK REMOVED >> More like a year or 2 years, which is about how behind I am ALL THE TIME on my bacjlog of games anyway, so it works out. Besides, I get the master experience with the PC version. Better performance from my games, with plenty of mods. Have fun paying a small fortune for your inferior versions of games.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> As this sir said, some of us have 100+ long lists of backlogs. It doesn't matter if the games are 2 years old, which almost none of them are by the way, and 2 years is not a long time. This year's already over and January was 9 minutes ago.
