Stateside release for Bloody Roar 3

Activision has announced that it has secured the North American publishing rights for Bloody Roar 3 for the Sony PlayStation 2. Activision will release the game in North America sometime this June.

"This agreement underscores our commitment to strategically seek out high-quality next-generation console games and bring them to the North American marketplace,'' Larry Goldberg, executive vice president of Activision Worldwide Studios, said. "The Bloody Roar franchise is known for its excellent design and intense gameplay. This version for the PlayStation 2 combines the best elements of the previous titles and takes the game into a whole new realm, capitalizing on the system's visual appeal and gameplay speed.''

The game includes 14 morphing fighters and five basic modes of play. Bloody Roar 3 was published by Hudson in Japan and is currently available in that territory.
