Microsoft's Starfield showcase might be announced any day now. According to reporter Andy Robinson, the Starfield showcase announcement may be "imminent."

The announcement might be made "soon," according to Robinson. Robinson reported this on February 24, but no announcement has been made as of yet.

Microsoft announced in January that Starfield would get its own special showcase in 2023. Microsoft didn't include Starfield in the January 25 Developer Direct event so it could give Starfield enough time and space to shine. Starfield is one of Microsoft's biggest games in years, so it stands to reason that the company wouldn't want to shoehorn it in to another event.

"To dedicate the proper amount of time for a deep dive into Bethesda Game Studios' Starfield, a standalone show is in the works," Microsoft said in January.

Just when this show will air, however, is unknown at this stage. The game is expected to launch in the first half of 2023 on Xbox and PC, following a delay from 2022. Starfield will not have a native Xbox One version but it will be available on that console via cloud gaming.

The Starfield showcase is one of multiple events Microsoft is reportedly gearing up for in 2023, another being some kind of event this June in Los Angeles. This may not be an official E3 2023 event, however, as it's believed Microsoft will not have an official presence at the summer show.

Starfield will be Bethesda Game Studios' first new release since 2018's Fallout 76. After Starfield, BGS will release The Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5.
