Starfield Direct Showcase: Start Times, How To Watch Live, And What To Expect

Starfield gets its very own showcase this week, and here's how you can watch it live.

Starfield is one of the biggest games of the year, and it's undoubtedly Xbox and Bethesda's most notable launch of 2023. As such, a dedicated Starfield Direct showcase event is scheduled to take place today, June 11, immediately after the Xbox Games Showcase. That event begins at 10 AM PT and does not have an official runtime, but below we've recapped everything you need to know about the Starfield Direct. You can also watch it and the Xbox showcase live in the embed below.

When is the Starfield Direct?

This livestream will take place directly after the Xbox Showcase ends on June 11. Xbox hasn't mentioned just how long this livestream will be, so there are no exact times just yet. If previous Xbox Showcases are an indicator, you can likely expect the show to run for between 60-90 minutes, which would put the Starfield Direct presentation in the range of 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 6 PM UTC at the earliest. We'll update this list as soon as a proper time has been confirmed.

We also don't know how long the Starfield Direct will be, but if it's getting its very own showcase, it'll likely be a decent length to justify its main event status.

How to watch the Starfield Direct

Like the Xbox Showcase, you'll be able to tune into the Starfield Direct on the Xbox YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook channels, as well as GameSpot's YouTube channel.

What to expect from the Starfield Direct

Bethesda has been slowly revealing more about Starfield's themes, music, and art direction throughout 2022 and 2023, but concrete details on how the game will play and what you'll actually be doing inside of that galaxy have been minimal so far. When the Starfield Direct was first announced, Microsoft said that it will provide "much, much more" information on Starfield, including "tons of new gameplay, developer interviews, and behind-the-scenes insider information."

What we do know is that the game has some weird post-sex dialogue, that players will be able to visit over 1,000 planets throughout the game, and according to game director Todd Howard, Starfield is more of a hardcore RPG than you'd think. Starfield will also allow players to customize the look and performance of their guns and spacecrafts, as well as construct their own outposts, but very little footage of this has been seen so far.
