We already knew that Legacy of the Void would launch this "winter," but that left open the possibility that it would arrive possibly in January or February. Now we know that won't be the case.

An official release date for Legacy of the Void, however, has not been announced.

Preorders for Legacy of the Void recently opened. Everyone who pre-buys the game will receive immediate access to Legacy of the Void's three-mission prologue, Whispers of Oblivion. For more on Legacy of the Void's various versions, check out this post.

Activision had a strong quarter, with both revenue and profit rising compared to last year.
