Blizzard Entertainment stunned gamers on Friday with the news that its longed-for title Starcraft is going to press. Upon hearing the news, one had to wonder about the date - April 1 by any chance?

Blizzard seems sincere.

"Let this serve as fair warning - gamers should start clearing their calendars and stocking up on caffeinated beverages now. Blizzard Entertainment just announced that StarCraft, the real-time strategy game that players have been waiting for with bated breath, has released to manufacturing for duplication. The game should ship and begin hitting stores nationwide in about one week."

So says Blizzard.
