Star Wars: The Last Jedi Will "Address" Rey's Parentage, Director Says

Address is open ended and means nothing.

Okay that's nice. We could also learn about it ourselves when we see the movie, believe it or not. I know it's super awesome to hear it from Gamespot first and not have to worry about pesky things like surprise or being interested in the movie itself revealing it...but oddly enough there are some of us who actually prefer to do it that way.

By putting shit like this in the very title of the article...you deprive those people of even that choice...classy

Addressing and answering are two very different things.

In some conversation with another character. "No I really don't know who my parents were." is addressing the issue not answering it.

Would be great if she could act. She's Kristen Stewart level atm.

Since The Force Awakens was a carbon copy of A New Hope with some names and actors swapped out, The Last Jedi will be a carbon copy of The Empire Strikes Back.

2 hours into the movie: "Rey, I am your father"

so, basically empires strike back then?

Rey: "No! Noo! That's impossible!"
Snoke"Search your feelings. You know it to be true."
Rey: "My parents are gay?!..."
Snoke: "If you only knew the power of the PC side!"

Personally, I could care less who her parents are ATM.

I just want to know why she whooped so much *** in the last movie without any training whatsoever, more than anything else.

Does it also address why Rey is such a boring ass character towards the end of TFA? I think that's a much bigger issue. More realistic struggle and less Mary Sue, please. Her parentage isn't really that interesting in the overall scheme of things.

Damn I hope it isn't Luke, other families can be brought in to add some depth to the story, why not Galen Marek and Juno Eclipse, Force unleashed might not have been the greatest game ever, but they did create a good story, like the Marek family crest was used as the Symbol for the rebel alliance.

Doesn't take a super sleuth to realize that she's Luke's daughter.

The core movies have always been about the bloodline of the Skywalkers. We already have that in the new trilogy with Kylo Ren being of Skywalker blood, so Rey could be the daughter/granddaughter/etc of any other major force-using character in the canon universe. With her struggles between Light and Dark, and considering the available canon force-users, I am starting to think she is Ezra Bridger's daughter. Right ages for it to work and similar issues dealing with the Light and Dark. None of the other available characters really make sense and if they are going to make this big a fuss about it, I seriously doubt both her parents will be brand new characters.

I think Rey is snokes daughter. Makes sense. We have kylo, the evil son of good parents leia and Han, and then we would have rey, the good daughter of evil dad. That's perfect balance if you ask me. Light and dark. Star wars is all about this type of duality.

JarJar Binks is the father and some random female Ewok is the mother - confirmed on Saint's stream.

Absolutely no surprises in movies anymore because they just can't keep their mouths shut and a strange desire by fans to be spoiled before seeing the actual movies. Such a shame..

Probably Fin or Poe would make some stupid joke ala "you are a big girl and I am not your father" and Disney producers would be like "we told you so"
