Star Wars Galaxies race revealed

Sony Online and LucasArts have revealed the sixth playable race that will be featured in their upcoming Star Wars Galaxies online role-playing game. The race is the trandoshan, a large reptilian race whose great strength and regenerative powers make them exceptionally tough and resilient. The trandoshan have a warlike society and are known for their love of hunting and their hatred of wookiees. The race is particularly suited to warrior and explorer characters, but they can also become several other types of characters.

The Star Wars Galaxies games are in development at Verant Interactive, the studio that created the popular online role-playing game EverQuest. The first game is scheduled for release in 2002. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
