Now, Glover has spoken about the part and what it means to him. In an interview with USA Today, Glover talked about the pressure of working on such an iconic series with millions of fans.

“Lando's a big deal to me. It was literally the first toy I ever got," Glover said. "When you have something that's kind of iconic ... where people pay attention to it, it's hard because you want to live up to the expectation. But all you can do is live up to your own. And Star Wars is really high."

He went on to say that the movie's directors, Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, are "amazing," and he's a big fan of young Han Solo actor Alden Ehrenreich.

"It's going to be a good time. It's going to be fun," Glover said. "I'm getting ready to just have fun with those guys."

The Han Solo movie is due out in 2018. In addition to Ehrenreich and Glover, Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has a role in the film, but we don't know what it is. More recently, multiple reports claimed that Hunger Games star Woody Harrelson is in talks to play a mentor character to Han Solo.

The newest Star Wars film, December's Rogue One, was finally bested at the US box office after a multi-week run as the No. 1 movie.
