Now Playing: Star Wars Battlefront's New Mode Infiltration

DICE's Star Wars: Battlefront will join the EA Access free game library on December 13, Electronic Arts announced today. The game was confirmed to join the "Vault" of free games back in October.

There is no word on if Battlefront will be added to Origin Access, which is a version of EA Access for PC. No version of EA Access is available on PlayStation 4.

EA Access costs $5/month or $30/year. Benefits include access to expanding library of free games, as well as the ability to play EA-published games before their release. Members also save 10 percent on all EA digital content.

When Battlefront enters the Vault on December 13, it'll be the 39th game in the catalog. You can see all the EA Access and Origin Access games here.

Battlefront's newest expansion, Rogue One: Scarif, launched today for season pass-owners. The DLC features content and characters from the upcoming movie. A patch was released alongside it, raising the level cap from 90 to 100; it also added new weapons and made a series of balance changes.

Rogue One the movie comes out on December 16.

I wish this game had a campaign. Not sure I can justify the bandwidth otherwise. I'll probably download it anyway just to walk around exploring the environments for a bit. I'm glad it's free, that's for sure.

@attirex: Then why are you here commenting on it?If you don't like the game don't worry about it nobody cares if you play it or not

@Flames03:

No, no, no....if it's ever free on Origin I might actually play it. But for now, I'm merely providing a Public Service by saving Gamespotter forum rabble the effort of posting how even for free, it still sucks, shallow gameplay, seven year olds running around making laser sounds, worst Star Wars game ever, etc.
