The Outer Rim was previously scheduled for March. We have reached out to EA for comment on these pricing and release date details. We will update this story when we receive more information.

The Outer Rim DLC brings four new maps, two new hero characters, new guns and Star Cards, and a new mode to Battlefront. Locations Tattooine and Sullust get two maps each (including one set in Jabba's palace), and the hero characters coming to the game are Greedo and Nien Nunb.

The new weapons include the Relby V-10 rifle and DT-12 blaster pistol, while the Star Cards feature the Scatter Gun, Dioxis Grenade, and Adrenaline Stim.

The new mode, Extraction, has players extracting a "valuable shipment of resources" and bringing it to a transport ship "before time runs out."

The Outer Rim DLC will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

GameSpot may get a commission from retail offers.
