The Star Wars universe is a big place and it's not uncommon for books, video games, and television shows to cover stuff the movies may have missed. Star Wars: The Force Awakens Visual Dictionary reveals key points about certain characters, weapons, and more. The following section contains spoilers:

A big question about Kylo Ren's lightsaber was why the sword-like, cross-guard sabers were necessary. Star Wars: The Force Awakens Visual Dictionary is available now on Amazon.
