Simon & Schuster Interactive has announced that Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Dominion Wars has shipped to stores. The space combat strategy game lets players control up to six different ships at one time from any of four different factions: the Federation, the Klingons, the Cardassians, and the Jem 'Hadar. The single-player mode includes 20 missions, while the multiplayer mode supports real-time combat between up to eight players over a LAN or Internet connection.

The game follows the story featured in the last few seasons of the Deep Space Nine television series, in which the Federation and its Klingon allies battled for control of the Alpha Quadrant against the Cardassians and the invading Dominion Alliance.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Dominion Wars was developed by Gizmo Games, and it will soon be available in stores for an approximate retail price of $39.95. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
