At its pre-E3 conference in Hollywood this morning, Nintendo released the first gameplay information on Star Fox 2 for the GameCube. The game, which is currently in development at Namco, will be the first in the series to feature split-screen cooperative play as you and up to three friends pilot separate vehicles or choose to share vehicles by riding shotgun. In addition to the flying Arwings, which are most commonly associated with Star Fox games, you'll be able to take command of Landmaster tanks or engage the enemy on foot--options that will also be available in the game's four-player deathmatch mode.
No release date has been announced for Star Fox 2 at this time, but we'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
