Square's Parasite Eve II Arrives

Square's Parasite Eve II arrived at videogames.com today, so we've put together a few first impressions and media for you to check out. First off, though, the background story: Three years have passed since the events of the first game, and now on September 9, 2000 mitochondria creatures have suddenly appeared on the Akropolis Tower in Los Angeles. The FBI sends in Aya, along with a special forces team called MIST (Mitochondria Investigation and Suppression Team).

Parasite Eve II begins with a stellar intro sequence that shows off the characters and teases some of the more impressive scenes from the game. The whole sequence is really amazing. As we've been reporting over the past few months, Parasite Eve II features some truly impressive CG movies. Take a look at the video we've captured to see what we mean.

As for the game itself, we've just begun our quest through it, so we'll have to leave those impressions until tomorrow. From what we've seen so far, though, fans of the original game will be heartily impressed with this sequel.
