GameSpot News has learned that Square will release only one version of Final Fantasy X for the Sony PlayStation 2. Previously, it was reported that two versions--the normal version and the so-called high fidelity version--were planned for release. The game will now come packaged with Other Side of Final Fantasy, a DVD disc that features a video interview with the FFX developers, a trailer for Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, Final Fantasy X sketches and concept art, and the latest clips from Square's upcoming titles.

Final Fantasy X for the PlayStation 2 is slated for release on July 19 for 8,800 yen (about $71) in Japan. The role-playing game is also scheduled to appear at Square's booth during E3 later this week.
