Square ships more than 1 million copies of X-2
The company sends off 1.8 million copies of Final Fantasy X-2 to retailers in Japan.
According to Reuters, Square shipped 1.8 million copies of Final Fantasy X-2 on its release date in Japan. While Square's preliminary goal is to sell 2 million copies of Final Fantasy X-2, its final aim in sales and current profit estimates from the title have not been revealed. Its previous release, Final Fantasy X, sold 2.5 million in Japan and 5.5 million worldwide. Square hopes to release Final Fantasy X-2 worldwide within the year.
