Very under- whelming squarenix conference, maybe it was designed only for retailers. There is a lack of games, what games shown were lacking great trailers or demos, and of course ... no FF7. They should have just stayed home.

E3 2018 was a straight up corny really bad performing arts festival.....the bands, dancers, and that flute player "japanese" guy named Harry from accounting....just so bad.

@Renunciation: For sure. The second game, Covenant, was an oft-bizarre gem.

@Lamesy: It certainly was. It has been far too long since I last smacked enemies around with a giant frozen tuna fish.

I get the feeling, from these reactions, that gamers are sorely mistake about what E3 is.

@Random_Matt: You are probably right, considering Sony is the one financing the project.

Wow. That was pretty bad. Even MS had a couple of kinda-sorta surprises. This was just a bunch of games we already knew about, and one game we know too little about to really care.

But it's not the top of the hour yet, so maybe there's still time?

I really hope negative reviews did not kill Deus Ex franchise. Mankind Divided was excellent. We need more RPGs like this.

Avengers Project...hello? Avengers Infinity War just dropped a month ago!? I guess now waiting for Avengers 4 2019 May or June E3 timeframe now perhaps *sigh* Probably going to be Destiny/Anthem type game not really hyped but more curious to see than those with the Marvel IP.

Despite the big elephant in the room (Final Fantasy 7 remake absence.) Square’s conference was mediocre to good at best. I think a part of the problem was the fact that they already showed off a few of their games at Microsoft’s conference (Tomb Raider, Kingdom Hearts, etc..).

Due to that there really wasn’t any big surprises other than quite possibly the Quite Man. Still, what was shown (while visually impressive.) was very short.

I really hope some of the big name Square games people are expecting will make it to the Sony press conference because if not then Square kind of dropped the ball.

@Fia1: Marginally better than EA's but, yeah... I tend to agree.

Hope we see some surprises at Sony's conference.
