Square Enix wants to bring Final Fantasy games to PC

i can totally see them porting their older ff games over (from ff xii and earlier) but i doubt we'll see ff xv on pc. how many people would even have a rig powerful enough to run that game optimally anyways?

Go ahead Square Enix, I've been hoping for PC versions of Final Fantasy games since a long time ago, I'll be ditching consoles though, they're just cheaper systems while I can do much more on PC!... ^_^

Square Enix.. you might as well just make all consoles games to be on PC and get surprised that the sales will kill consoles.

I guess why not since they seem to love porting this series to everything imaginable. Honestly don't see the point in bringing games that go all the way back to the NES to PC now. But I guess future games could be PC no problem. I'd rather see them focusing on making the series actually good again by getting back to basics with new installments instead of spending so much time on porting to every platform and rehashing what they've already done. But whatever.

Don't bother porting XIII or any of the garbage sequels. FF7-X and maybe XII. That's all you need to worry about for PC gamers.

FF10 on PC would be sick.

Good decision... these are some of the best FF games ever... and 13 got better with each sequel.

Square Enix needs to make their games compatible with Mac OS. I would buy FF7 in a heartbeat if I can play it on my Macbook Pro. I don't have a PC with windows.

Uhmmm....I remember buying Final Fantasy 7 on PC back in the 90s....it's not like they didn't do it before....

Hah... don't bother Squarenix... the reason the steam releases of FF7 and 8 were good is because... well they were good games... You bring those pathetic excuses for games that are FF12 onwards and you'll see it's not that PC gamers are starved for FF titles... it's that they have no intention of buying garbage.

I don't care what they do regarding the PC, as long as the games still release on consoles and we get remakes of FFVIII and IX in the process.

tosses money at the screen yes they sould bring ffXV to PC :P also if they want to bring the rest of the older ff games to steam that would be nice :D

well they did put old games on pc but really the series belongs to console gamers so really that sqaureEnix for you.

I am shocked. You mean SE wants to keep rereleasing its old games, the ones that are good because they can't create anything half decent anymore?

If they brought all the pre-FF7 rpg's to the pc with achievement support, that would be amazing. And hopefully they don't stop with just the FF games. I'd love to see Chrono Trigger and Xenosaga too.

very smart decision. sadly none of the newer ff games are any good and will only get slated even further by pc users. lets hope ff15 is a good one though.

Just port the XV. Bury the XIIIth in the desert along with E.T.

what square need to do in my opinion:

Make games aviliable for pc

a remake of the 7 (same battle/magic systheme , same story .. only whit updated graphics and add new summon, side story and maybe a better lvl sytheme like ff 10)

Revive the chronos series (Chronos trigger and cross was amazing games)

make a sword of mana for Pc/ console

make a final fantasy dissidia (not a port) for Pc / console
