Square Enix Presents: Forspoken, New Life Is Strange, And Everything Announced

News from Square Enix Presents included a new Life is Strange game and more on Forspoken, formerly Project Athia.

Square Enix Presents took place on March 18, and we learned about completely new games as well as news on previously announced games. Whether you game on a console, PC, or your phone, there was something for you during the show. The best news? We'll be getting another Square Enix Presents event this summer.

Outside of the games themselves, we also learned about continued multimedia projects for franchises like Tomb Raider, as well as mobile spin-offs for both Just Cause and Hitman. Here are the biggest games and announcements we saw during the show.

Life is Strange: True Colors is the next full entry in the series, and it's launching September 10 as a complete package instead of via episodic releases. It includes a character from Before the Storm, whom you can romance, and it will be available in several editions. Alongside the new game, remastered versions of Life is Strange and Before the Storm are also coming.

The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Marvel's Avengers are out now. Alongside their launch, Crystal Dynamics shared a roadmap for the game that includes a new Black Widow event, new story content, and the introduction of Black Panther. There's no firm date on when he'll be coming to the game, but it will be this year. Oh, and we got to see Hawkeye in action with his famous bow!

Just Cause Mobile

Just Cause Mobile was announced late last year, and it got a new trailer during the presentation. The trailer showed off several featured from the main series, including the zipline from the third and fourth games as well as Rico Rodriguez himself.

Hitman: Sniper Assassins

Currently being developed under a working title, Hitman: Sniper Assassins is the latest mobile game from the team at Square Enix Montreal behind Hitman: Sniper. In this one, you're not playing as Agent 47. We'll know more closer to its release for iOS and Android later this year.

The breathtaking fantasy-action game formerly called Project Athia now has an official title: Forspoken. Protagonist Frey, played by Ella Balinska, has access to some impressive traversal abilities, and the game is in development at the internal studio Luminous Productions for a 2022 release on PS5 and PC.
