It takes a lot to get Final Fantasy XI players to leave the world of Vana'diel, but Square Enix has a surefire way of getting San Francisco-area Final Fantasy fans out of the house. The publisher has announced that it will host a Final Fantasy XI anniversary party, celebrating the game's PC release one year ago, on the evening of October 30.
Taking place at Jillian's at the Metreon, in the heart of downtown San Francisco, the event will be open to the public and will feature a reception, a dance party (where Final Fantasy tunes will be played), a costume contest, and prize giveaways, among other events. The event costs $30 for early registration or $35 at the door, and it begins at 4:30pm PDT.
For further information on the event schedules and details, as well as online registration for the party, check the official Web site.
