The Final Fantasy VII remake has been a long time coming. The game was first announced during Sony's E3 2015 press conference, but since then, we've only gotten trickles of new details about it. Square Enix had previously said the remake would be released in multiple parts, although it made no mention of that when it announced the game's release date.

The release date is already a major piece of news for the Final Fantasy VII remake, but we expect there will be more to see of it at Square Enix's E3 press conference on Monday, June 10. The show begins at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET (2 AM BST on June 11); be sure to follow along with GameSpot for the latest.
