Spyro: A Hero's Tail blazes into stores

Spyro: A Hero's Tail, the next installment in the long-running action platform series, has shipped to retail stores and is available today, Vivendi Universal Games has announced. Featuring five playable characters with an array of new moves and powers, the title is scripted by The Simpsons and Futurama writer J. Stewart Burns.

This time, the adorable fire-breathing dragon has been called upon to defeat the Evil Red Dragon and foil his plan to capture the Dragon Realms with the help of a sackful of evil dark gems. Destroying the dark gems will transform the realms back to normal, one by one, changing the levels' graphical style, music, and more.

Developed by Eurocom, Spyro: A Hero's Tail is available for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. Rated "E" for Everyone, the title carries an SRP of $49.99.
