Spy Hunter to hit shelves this week
Midway's Spy Hunter remake for the PS2 will ship this week.
Midway has announced that Spy Hunter for the Sony PlayStation 2 will ship later this week. A 3D remake of the classic driving game, Spy Hunter on the PS2 features a new vehicle, the G-6155 Interceptor, and a behind-the-car third-person perspective. The game's levels are based on a variety of real-world locations, including Panama, Key West, England, Germany, France, Middle East, and Venice.
"The remake of Spy Hunter will take gamers on an explosive thrill ride where the hunter is the hunted with relentless mission-based gameplay,'' said Helene Sheeler, vice president of marketing at Midway. "Spy Hunter takes all of the original game elements--villains, weapons vans, theme music--and combines them with the power of the PlayStation 2 to create an electrifying gaming experience.''
Spy Hunter is one of several classic games that Midway is remaking for the next-generation consoles.
