Spy Hunter for PlayStation2 Launch

Midway plans to have its next-generation version of Spy Hunter ready in time for the US launch of the PS2.

Midway announced early last year that it would be bringing Spy Hunter to next-generation platforms. GameSpot News has learned that one of the platforms the game is headed to is the PlayStation2, and that the company hopes to have it ready for the US launch of Sony's next-generation console. A Dreamcast version is also said to be coming, and it will likely release around the same time.

Spy Hunter is currently in development at Paradigm (maker of Beetle Adventure Racing), and the game will likely be unveiled at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
