Spring TGS 2001: New Capcom vs. SNK: 2000 Pro characters

Capcom announces the two newcomers to Capcom vs. SNK's lineup.

Capcom revealed today at Spring TGS 2001 that its upcoming fighting game, Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro--the followup to the original arcade and Dreamcast fighting game--will feature two new playable characters: SNK's Joe Higashi and Capcom's Dan Hibiki. Presumably, the two new characters have been included as a continuation of the story of the original Capcom vs. SNK; in the previous game's ending sequence, the two fighters had won the world championship (while the player secretly defeated Vega or Geese and saved the world).

Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro will be an enhanced edition of the original fighting game, which featured characters from both Capcom's Street Fighter series and SNK's King of Fighters and Fatal Fury games. We'll have more information on the new game soon.
