Spider-Man: Miles Morales is just over a month away, coming right alongside the PS5 launch on November 12. If you just can't wait to jump into the world of the webslinger, though, a prequel novel will set the stage ahead of the game's release. An art book has also been announced for next year.

IGN reports that the novel "Spider-Man: Miles Morales - Wings of Fury" will come just ahead of the game's release, on November 10. The story will feature Miles confronting the high-tech gadgetry of Vulture and his granddaughter Starling. It will cost $16. The official description reads:

"With an exclusive adventure leading directly into the game itself, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – Wings of Fury features Miles Morales coming to terms with what it means to be Spider-Man. A mix-up with the law leaves Miles questioning everything and when Vulture and his accomplice Starling unleash experimental tech on Marvel’s New York, Miles must decide what kind of hero he wants to be."

Miles dealing with high-tech threats certainly plays thematically into the game, as the main villain shown so far in promo materials is the Tinkerer.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales - The Art of the Game will release in February 2021. That will include concept art, renders, and commentary from artists across Insomniac, Marvel, and PlayStation. It will cost $40.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is coming for both PS4 and PS5 on the same day, and your saves will transfer if you adopt the new console later. That marks a difference from the Spider-Man Remastered version, which won't transfer, but the cross-save situation is a bit inconsistent across the board. Meanwhile, Spider-Man Remastered gives Peter Parker a facelift, so if he shows up in the Miles Morales campaign it's a safe bet we'll see the new Pete.
