For many fans, Tom Holland's debut as Spider-Man was one of the best things about the recent Captain America: Civil War. Anticipation is high for Spidey's first standalone Marvel Universe movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, which has just started shooting. JustJared have revealed some onset pictures.

Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts. Although Marvel has not officially announced the cast, Marisa Tomei is expected the reprise her Civil War role as Aunt May, while these images also feature teen star Zendaya alongside Holland. Last week, it was reported that Donald Glover had also signed up, while Robert Downey Jr should make an appearance.

In May, it was reported that Michael Keaton would play a villainous role. Keaton was originally rumoured to be joining the cast earlier this year, but initial talks stalled. As THR notes, Marvel looked at other actors before returning to Keaton.

It was recently revealed that although Homecoming is a co-production between Marvel Studios and Sony, it will be Marvel that calls the creative shots on the film. In an interview with HeyUGuys, Marvel boss Kevin Feige emphasized that the relationship between the two studios is a happy one. "Well, I've known all those people [at Sony] for a very long time. It's been great," he said. "They really are supportive in allowing us to make the creative decisions to make that movie, but they've been great partners. So far so good on that movie."

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
