Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Delayed Out Of 2022, Now Coming June 2023

The sequel to the 2018 Oscar-winning animated movie will no longer be released this year.

Sony Pictures has announced new release dates for a number of its upcoming movies, and this includes a big delay for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The sequel to the Oscar-winning animated movie will now arrive on June 2, 2023. This is a delay from its previously announced October 7, 2022 release date.

Across the Spider-Verse was originally titled "Part One," but Sony Pictures has now dropped that from the title. Still, there are two parts on the way--Part II will arrive on March 29, 2024.

Sony Pictures also confirmed that Lyle, Lyle Crocodile from Columbia Pictures is now set for October 7, 2022, which is ahead of its previously announced November 18, 2022 release date.

As for movies just getting release dates now, Sony Pictures announced that Madame Web starring Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney is coming July 7, 2023, while The Equalizer 3 is set for September 1, 2023.

The war movie Devotion, meanwhile, begins its release on October 14, 2022 with a limited rollout, before expanding on October 21, and then going wide on October 28.
