The Harry Potter phenomenon got another addition today when Electronic Arts shipped Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for the Xbox, GameCube, and PlayStation 2. All versions of the game are rated 'E' for everyone and retail for $29.99.

From what GameSpot has seen, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is a revamped version of the 2001 PlayStation and PC game of the same name. (A GBA version of the game was also released). Like the film version--the actors from which are not featured--the game follows Harry's first year at Hogwarts. It features a 3-D recreation of the school of witchcraft and wizardry as well as other areas such as Diagon Alley and Hagrid’s Garden. According to EA, the game does feature content not in the book, including some new monsters and an "entirely different twist."
