Sony: XBL HDTV "a disservice"

Screw the core gamers...The REAL disservice here is MS sending out a faulty update that has bricked hundreds, if not thousands, of 360s.....My launch 360 has worked flawlessly since day 1. Never froze, always booted up, no problems whatsoever. 3 minutes after DL the update.....my 360 is bricked....THAT IS A DISSERVICE

Okay, I really like Sony, but I don't like the statement: "We would never segregate or shut out any of our consumers from our entertainment experience because they didn't buy the top of the line system" It just seems like that's going to someday end up in some video collage of Sony lies from a 360 fanboy. Pardon the gut reaction. 9 days to PS3!

what the hell is sont talking about....they are the ones shuting out a HUGE section of gamers by selling their console at $600....sony also bashed the fact xbox 360 can suport 1080p....calling it "not a true high def experience" because its not through a freaking HDMI cable.....i'm not a xbox fanboy, and ill get a ps3 in the furture, but sony needs to learn to keep there mouths shut at this time.....

I know this guy is such an idiot. First, mircosoft's two seperate sales methods was to have people "build thier system at their own pace", thats why they did that. Now, sony didnt know what they were trying to do, and just copied them, thats all. The purpose of microsoft is "choice", sony doesnt give choice, you either buy one thing, or buy the other; most of the things on the PS3's lesser system isnt even upgradable, while the Xbox 360's core is all upgradable. Thats what the purpose of two system method was. I hate when sony just talks crap to try and prevent people from buying the Xbox 360, or the wii, when they know things are not going good for them.

you know companies used to be able to coexist peacefully when nintendo was in charge. I guess they didn't really have any competition, but even now they aren't just ripping into sony for stealing the wii-mote idea and putting it into the "sixaxis". Sony needs to stop being a little ho about the whole thing and shut up. Sony can start talking when the ps3 has an online service that is usable by the public that is actually a service created by them not by socom or similar games.

Wow!! Sony is just saying there hardware is better because both of them have a HDD in it!! LOL..sheesh fanboys are crazy. PS3 will also do the whole movie, music, video, TV thing so I don't see why the bashing "Take that SONYFaNBOYS" cuz the services will pretty much be the same. On the content side of things-Sony actually has the upper hand because. well-it's SONY-there are in the entertainment business as a whole. I'm not 100% but this is how I see it panning out guys. PNP and Live will probably offer up the same things with just different content. Live will probably be a little smoother and more streamlined. PNP will just be free and have better content and some cool features for PSP owners. That's about it-just stop the hate. Did any even play Gears of War? or FF12? Or just watch the opening to MotorStorm? There's too much good gaming going on to flame right now. fellas...

Sony has failed this time, and disgusted me as a consumer. I will not buy another Sony product. Luckily all i really have thats sony is a PS2, and my TV that looks great with my 360. If there is a choice for something I want, I will choose another brand besides Sony. It would be another thing if they came out with this message and said "Its a disservice, thats why we want to show you we can do the same only better!" But no, they came out with another childish attempt to make MS look bad, saying nothing about their counter strategy. You HDTV PS3 fanboys cant tell me you wouldnt love to have a service like MS is offering! (downloading movies and tv shows in HD). Well the Xbox system isn't necessarily a diservice, that's a matter of opinion. However ALL companies especially Microshaft (Microsoft) give a diservice once in a while. I mean every product, other than maybe the xbox, is a diservice from Microsoft. Have you ever tried registering a copy of that "wonderful" software that they have. S$it windows 98 froze during the initial press conference and none of their OS's have done ANY better since. Sony did get arrogant with the PS3 and they won't do very well at all during it's first few years but that doesn't mean that its going to fail. Many departments make up Sony and almost all of them are making profit. Hell Spiderman 3 revenue basically funded SOE for awhile when EQ2 came out. All the systems are going to fail eventually and the only company to really profit from the next Gen is IBM because they made ALL of the processors including the freaking cell processors. Read the stock reports people, it's all there black and white. I could go on but everyone here is just going to **** like little school girls, like your currently doing, and nothing will change. let the war of verbal b1tch fighting continue! MS new download service is clearly no disservice, those whoe bought the core system should have an IQ high enough to realise that they would b losing out on XBL content (trailers, demos etc) from the start, and if they want this new service they can jst buy the hardrive and still hav paid less than ps3 buyers. and at least with the 360 you can transfer data to your pc or buy an xtra hdd (MS really need to release a bigger one!!!!), if you use up the space on the ps3 then tough luck, its time to start deleting content, or wishing you could've afforded the 60gig version.
