Sony: XBL HDTV "a disservice"

LOL 360 has just started releasing good games .... (one maybe two launch titles didnt suck) ... and it has really barely been implemented well yet... Sony on the other hand has a good starting lineup but its jacking themselves left and right ... i think both are gonna be about equal on the RETARD factor ... especially now that MS evened teh stupidness out with their Console crashing update ...

Anyone who bought the core system already knew what they were getting into in the first place. Those people either just want to play games and aren't really worried about downloadable content, or they just want to buy the whole package in chunks instead of all at once. You get what you pay for. Besides, they can always just go get the hard drive if they want at a later date.

Gamespot should have a filter that doesn't let retarded posts and comments go through.

Why does it matter? This is going to fail anyway. I don't see why some people are comparing the Blu-ray to downloadable content. It's in the system. Get over it. I don't even see why Sony even bothered to comment on it. It's not like they are going include any of this stuff.I'm going to enjoy my PS3 on Nov. 17, my Wii on the 19th, while 360 owners should be playing all night sessions of GOW instead of worrying about M$ offering stuff that gamers more than likely won't care about.

Sony needs to worry about their own product launch and stop riding Microsoft's high hard one. It just goes to show you how nervous they really are about the PS/3 launch and the PS/3 units themselves for the first 6 months.

There's so much wrong with this person talking I almost didn't know where to start. It's funny how he said they don't shut out their consumers because they did not buy the top of the line system. I distinctly remember that the basic PS3 didn't come with an HDMI cable which would run up to $50 on top of everything else. And let's not talk about the HDD for the PS2 yeah real support there. If he owned a 360 he would be upset he would say that seeing as how he is a SONY exec. They segregated the European gamers with their cancellation of a worldwide launch, segregated the US and Japanese markets with a 300,000 unit disparity, and segregated the causal gamer with their price tag.

Sony is so chidishly disperate. They are always saying Microsoft is stirring the pot. As if we gamers are not the ones getting on them about there prices and downgrades and lies! But look at the hyppocrites, they are boldly trying to get me mad at Microsoft? Hardly any people buys the core, and the ones that do CAN get a hard drive after they get up and playing. Most people that bought core just could not afford 399! What do you think will happen with those same people when ps3 comes out? nothing thats what they will still be only able to buy and wii or core xbox360 and then a add on later, hince the word choice. Besides some people DONT have high speed in there area YET! over 28% of the country still don't. Blank Fony I mean Sony!

I find it odd that if I go and read some PS3 forums, all the Sony guys over there are like "Please leave. Why do you 360 guys have to come over here and bash us. Waaa Waaa Waaa!!!". Now, I come over to the 360 forums and we have the reverse (although the 360 guys don't whine and cry...probably because they're too busy laughing at the Sony guys trying to make a stink about something that really isn't a stink).

Why does he mention this now if people who bought core systems couldn't save their games if they didnt get some type of memory device??? sony really needs to fire everyone in public relations because they're just making me think microsoft's ideas are all the more better because they make sony go out of their way to make people think it's a flaw, when they should spend all their time doing damage control on all the ps3 bull****.

I for one could care less. It's not like anyone is twisting my arm telling me to purchace every peice of media they offer up on xbox live. I love my 360 and if I could afford one I'd be getting a PS3 as well. All the fan boy like to sling crap at each other the second sony or microsoft announce anything. I'll let you in on a little secret there both trying to make as much money as possible.

I hope that M$ soon just get's rid of the Core 360 version, when the price lowers.

haha, the core system is only meant for playing games on it, nothing more. It is more of an on the go version for in your Rv or something. It can also be used for just games being played on it and saving you saves on a memory card you have to buy. this is just something extra microsoft is adding, you don't need it to enjo your games. Microsoft keeps promoting xbox live by adding new features, and you don't have to use them if you don't want to. people that bought the core, wanted that pack. they always have the option to buy a hdd, if they want it. So microsoft isn't forgetting about the core owners, and isn't forcing anyone to use their extra features.

The 360 is a dam joke if you ask me, i have one and can't wait to a get a playstation 3, if all you want is FPS's, crappy roleplaying games, and to believe that the american junk box (xbox1.5) is superior then get a 360 other wise shutup!! microsoft doesn't give its consumers near the support sony does, playstation 2 is still outselling the 360 and its 6years old. How many years of decent games did the xbox provide us with well about 3 years of actual MS support. Please quit bashing on sony just because you can't afford to get to systmes or are mad because the first good game you've played in a year only lasts 8 hours and the most cliche story in gaming history (A.K.A.gears of war).

Lets face it people, MS will have a 100gig or so HDD within months, they just want to see how the PS3 onine and HDD works first (I don't have any proof but it makes too much sense to not do).

The problem that sony has at the moment is, they claim what a value PS3 is all day long, if you can't find one to buy what good is it ? I can almost 99% promise you won't find one for some time, how is that valulable to anyone? What good does it do anyone even it was better value , better machine, if can't find one to save your life? I don't even agree thats better, but I would still like to have one. To bad I won't be able to buy one until next spring at the earliest. Not my doing, if Sony made more of them I would have one.

hey I'm a pretty big sony fan and I still can't wait for Gears!! That's what a gamer does, get excited about good GAMES!!

So let's see, that's a $100 hard drive, with money needed for Live which is going to increase every year, not to mention the initial Gold Membership charge . . . when you put all of the costs that M$ didn't announce together, it just about comes up to the cost of a PS3. Not to mention the recent stuff about the two biggest movie companies in the world backing out of making a Halo movie because M$ were whining about wanting more money. That was hilarious. And to all of those who have (finally) caught on and realised that the tech in the PS3's controllers isn't the same as in the Wii's . . . and are now whining about it . . . good for you. It'll be great fun with you waving your arms around like a tool while playing a games console.

I love when stories like this come up. All the fanboys come out from behind their computer screens with their torches and pitch forks, being all up in arms over Sony or MS or Nintendo. You guys keep it up, cause you keep me laughing everytime I read your posts.

You know with the HD -DVD player shipping today I figured my costs for my 360 with wireless adapter at $700.00 and that's not including the rechargeable batteries and quick charger. I know it's my choice to get these add ons but come on don't use price as a focal point because it's pointless...
