Sony will be the company responsible for publishing Final Fantasy XI in North America.

Comments

Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced plans to publish Square Enix's online role-playing game Final Fantasy XI in North America during the first quarter of 2004. The North American version of the game will retain its ability to play on the same servers regardless of whether you're playing the PlayStation 2 or PC version of the game.

The PlayStation 2 version of the game will require players to install Sony's 40GB internal hard drive. Pricing and availability for the game and the hard drive aren't available at this time, but it's expected that the game will require players to pay a monthly fee for access to its servers.
