Sony shares leap 8 percent after Xbox One announcement

@emperiox Uh, what? .66% is a panic in your eyes? MSFT (Microsoft's stock ticker) has been steadily on the increase over the past 6 months. Overall MSFT is up 32.71% since it's low point 6 months ago.

Basically the market today didn't even react to the reveal.

@xblackdivine Xbox is only bigger in the US. In Europe and Japan playstation dominates.

The main reason why playstation is doing better, is because we cannot use all the live services the US has. Yet MS still asks us to pay for it even more than you guys are. 10 euros a month>$10,-

I live in Holland and xbox smartglass, netflix etc are not even available here. We have 1 television network(RTL XL), a sportschannel and movie service channel(pay per view). Live is only for the multiplayer games that is it. Ps3 online over here is > xbox live, because same service and being free. The money paid for xbox live a year 120 euros > ps+ membership 50 euros.

And ohyeah the playstation+ deals are crazy awesome.

More than 50% of the xbox one reveal presentation is not even usable in my country. We do not even watch American football :P

Games are what sells xboxes over here in Europe. Definitely not television services.

Only people that are fans of Halo, COD, GOW and kinect games own a xbox. Or they buy an xbox 360 for the easy pirating of games.

MS must show some great games on E3.

This the main reason why i own a ps3 instead of a 360 and with me many other people.

@xblackdivine I hate the ps3 and have been a 360 gamer since it's launch. That being said, the Xbox One looks terrible compared to the ps4 in a pure gaming sense. Microsoft should be in fear of the fact it's new machine is a bag of ass.

@linkdarkside What would MS's reaction be if Sony made sure their release date was the same as XBox One. Then 1 week before release, announced a price drop to $300 under the price of XBox One?

It was widely expected this conference would show off the hardware and its capabilities. Games would come at E3.
