Sony seeks PS3 game testers

Sony's Japanese Web site solicits for a few good gamers to check software for the company's new system, as well as PlayStation 2 and PSP.

Today the Sony Computer Entertainment corporate Web site was updated with a help-wanted announcement for "game check staff." The job description was brief and to the point: "This position entails checking the functionality of software for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable, compiling reports, and evaluating [the games'] content." Further requirements are that applicants be between the ages of 20 and 30, can work for one year or more starting July 18, are not students, and love games. The announcement specifies that no experience is necessary to apply. The pay range runs from 950 yen to 1,400 yen ($8 to $12) an hour. Resumés must be submitted to SCEJ by July 3.
