Sonic Gets Heavy With This Awesome "Green Hill Zone" Drum Cover

The drummer behind last year's awesome Destiny drum cover is back with another gaming video. This one is themed around the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and it's quite impressive. Watch as drummer Andrew Fleming pounds on his kit for a great, heavier cover of the famous "Green Hill Zone" song. The production values are nice as well, while you'll spot a Fallout reference in his studio.

Sega is celebrating Sonic's 25th anniversary with a fan event in July in San Diego. According to Sega, this will be an event you won't want to miss. It may even include the announcement of the next Sonic game, though this has only been hinted at and not confirmed.

The next Sonic game, Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, will arrive for Nintendo 3DS on September 27. The game was previously expected to come out in 2015 before it was delayed.
