Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed out now on mobile, adds Shenmue's Ryo
The arcade racing game featuring Sonic and other Sega characters is out now on mobile devices.
We'll begin emailing you updates about %gameName%.
The mobile version of the game includes 10 playable racers (with more to come), multiple control options optimized for mobile devices, and the same style of arcade racing which mixes things up with dynamic tracks and transformable vehicles.
Our reviews of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game found that it suffered from occasional technical glitches, but that overall it was a joy to look at and a joy to play. The Wii U version, unfortunately, was not as good.
Ryo, in case you don't recognize him, was the protagonist of Sega's Shenmue games, which were supposed to be a flagship trilogy on Sega's ill-fated Dreamcast console. Sega released the first two games, but didn't sell enough of them to justify the third chapter. A recently filed Shenmue 3 trademark started rumors that Sega was bringing the series back, but the trademark turned out to be fake.
