Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut ships

Sega announces that its GameCube remake of Sonic's first Dreamcast adventure is now available in stores across the US.

Sega of America has today announced the North American release of Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut for the GameCube. The game is a remake of the Dreamcast original, and it boasts an all-new mission mode with more than 50 missions and numerous unlockable surprises, including 12 classic Sega Game Gear games.

"The original Sonic Adventure was one of our most popular blockbusters and we are thrilled to bring this updated version to the Nintendo GameCube," said Mike Fischer, vice president of marketing, Sega of America. "With the launch of Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut, an all-new dedicated Sonic site, and the upcoming debut of Sonic-themed McDonald's Happy Meal premiums, our favorite hedgehog is everywhere this summer!"
