Activision will release a multiplayer compatibility test for its upcoming first-person shooter this coming Thursday.

Comments

Activision has announced that it will release a multiplayer compatibility test for Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix, its upcoming first-person shooter, on April 18. The downloadable test will let players compete on one map in four different game modes: deathmatch, team deathmatch, elimination, and infiltration. The test will also include 20 character skins and all the weapons available in the multiplayer mode of the full game. Activision noted that the compatibility test is not the official demo for the game and does not contain the single-player portion of the game. Those who participate in the test are encouraged to provide feedback on the game and its compatibility by e-mailing sof2mptest@ravensoft.com.

Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix is the upcoming sequel to Soldier of Fortune, Raven's gritty first-person shooter from 2000. The new game will feature a number of improvements on its predecessor, including an enhanced 3D engine, realistic damage modeling, skeletal animation, and a new terrain system.
