Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan's adult animation series Solar Opposites has received an early renewal for a fourth season, which likely won't see a premiere for almost two years, The Wrap reports. The show first premiered on Hulu in May 2020, with a second season released in March 2021. A third season is due to premiere sometime in 2022.

Solar Opposites follows a group of four aliens who crashed landed in suburban America after fleeing the destruction of their home planet. The aliens are divided in their opinions on Earth, with half of them despising the planet and its many cultures, and the others being fascinated with human culture. The main cast includes Justin Roiland, Thomas Middleditch, Sean Giambrone, and Mary Mack, who are all signed on to reprise their roles through seasons 3 and 4.

The show has been a hit for Hulu--it was Hulu's most-watched original comedy premiere of 2020, and was Hulu's first show to make an appearance in Nielson's weekly top ten streaming list.

While season 3 is due out sometime in 2022, the just-renewed fourth season hasn't got a release window yet.
