Sony Online Entertainment has announced that it will stop supporting four of its massively multiplayer online role-playing games, Free Realms, Wizardry Online, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, and Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures.

"At Sony Online Entertainment, we are always evaluating our portfolio to ensure we're providing players with the best gameplay experiences," SOE's director of global communications Michele Cagle said in a statement. "At times, as part of this commitment, we have to make the difficult decision to sunset a game so we can refocus our resources on other areas in the best interest of our company and player community."

Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures and Free Realms will shut down on March 31, 2014. Wizardry Online and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes will shut down on July 31.

SOE also announced it's upgrading all individual memberships to its new All Access program, which gives subscribers top-tier membership level in EverQuest, EverQuest II, DC Universe Online for the PC, PlanetSide 2 for the PC, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes (until it's shuttered), and the upcoming EverQuest Next and EverQuest Next Landmark.

All Access membership starts at $14.99, with extra savings for three, six, and one year plans. It will also include a 10 percent discount on marketplace purchases, 500 Station Cash per month, and access to exclusive promotions.

Finally, SOE announced that when All Access rolls out on April 2, it will also make the first Planetside free-to-play.
