Sony's upcoming stealth-based sequel Sly 2: Band of Thieves will be on hand at E3 2004. In the new game, Sly the raccoon will return with all his animal friends to put a stop to the reconstruction of Clockwerk, Sly's robotic archnemesis. Fortunately, Sly is a much more mature and experienced thief, and so are his cohorts. Sly and his crew will have access to new abilities, like those that allow them to both pick pockets and crawl through vents. They'll also have plenty of new gadgets to use for sneaking past their enemies so that they can grab the loot they seek. Their enemies will, accordingly, be tougher and smarter. Additionally, they'll call for help if it's necessary.

Sly 2 will take place in open environments set in locations all over the world, including Prague, Paris, India, and Canada, and the game will draw upon classic heist films for inspiration for its story. Sly 2: Band of Thieves is scheduled for release later this year.
