Skyward Sword coming to Oz 'before Christmas 2011'
Nintendo Australia bucks the trend and refuses to commit to a release date for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword in Australia.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was publicly unveiled for the first time at E3 2010 and is eagerly anticipated by fans of the long-running series. Overnight, Nintendo announced release dates for the upcoming game in the US and Europe but unfortunately made no mention of Australia.
GameSpot AU put in the call to Nintendo Australia, which confirmed: "No release date for Australia and New Zealand has been confirmed at this time; however, it is planned to be released before Christmas 2011."
Nintendo might not have the greatest track record when it comes to releasing games in Australia alongside the rest of the world, but the "before Christmas 2011" time frame means that there can only be a few weeks' delay at most. That statement also doesn't rule out the possibility of a release on par with Europe and America, either.
Stay tuned to GameSpot AU for more info on The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword's Australian release date when it's announced.
