LOS ANGELES--If all goes as scheduled at Bethesda Game Studios, the first downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim--Dawnguard--will arrive later this month. Joystiq reports today that Bethesda's Todd Howard said the DLC is "tentatively" scheduled for June 26.

Dawnguard goes live this month, Howard says.

The content will arrive first on Xbox Live and will head to the PlayStation 3 and PC at a later date. Xbox 360 gamers may not need to wait until June 26 to try out Dawnguard, as Bethesda is currently accepting applications to beta-test Dawnguard. Successful applicants will score early access to the content and will receive the add-on for free.

Dawnguard is the first expansion to the award-winning role-playing game Skyrim and is rumored to add snow elves and crossbows. Bethesda released its first trailer last week. For more on the content, check out GameSpot's analysis of the video, embedded below.
