Sky Target Takes Aim in Japan

Here's our first look at Sega's just-released Saturn shooter.

Comments
Sky Target is Sega of Japan's latest Saturn shooter. It plays very much like a simplified version of Afterburner, and it sports many of the same graphic stylings as well. The player must fight through seven courses to be victorious, and there are multiple paths that coax a little more replay value out of what would otherwise be a very short game. Several different planes are at the player's disposal, ranging from the F14 Tomcat to the Dassault Rafale M, a sleek little speed demon. Unlike Afterburner, the end of each course in Sky Target pits the player against one of the several Deldine Gigantic Weapons, including a giant blimp, a rocket, and some ground-based weaponry. Look for a full report on the import soon and for Sky Target to hit US shelves in July.
