Skater XL Adds New Community-Created Content This Holiday
The skateboarding sim will get new decks, grip tape, and places to skate on all platforms.
Developer Easy Day Studios has announced that more content is coming to Skater XL this holiday on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. An exact release date has not been confirmed.
The update will add more community-created content, such as customization items and locations. While the studio has not specified everything that is coming to Skater XL in the update, an announcement video highlights some of the new additions. There will be new skateboard decks, grip tape, clothing, accessories, and a few more places--like an indoor park--to skate.
Easy Day Studios said more details about the update are "coming soon." In the meantime, check out the announcement trailer above.
While this community-created content is coming to all platforms, this isn't the only batch of content the skateboarding simulator has received. Back in August, Skater XL modders added stuff from the Skate and Tony Hawk's franchises to bolster its bare-bones package on PC.
We gave the game a 5/10 in our Skater XL review, with editor Mat Paget saying, "As it is now, Skater XL lacks spots worth conquering and fails to entice past this initial bail."
