Sirtech Canada layoffs

Sirtech Canada has announced layoffs for the development teams that were working on Jagged Alliance 3 and Wizardry 9. Development on both games has come to a halt. Sirtech says that the reasons for the move comes from its inability to secure additional money for the new projects and that it was unable to get higher royalty fees from European publishers for sales of Jagged Alliance 2 and Jagged Alliance 2: Unfinished Business. However, Sirtech has indicated that work on Jagged Alliance 3 and Wizardry 9 will continue if the company can find suitable funding within the next few weeks. Sirtech has also announced that Wizardry 8 is complete and that there are plans to ship the game before the end of the year. International versions of Wizardry 8 are also unaffected.
